ABOUT THE ORIGINAL PAINTING
REPRODUCED IN
"THE PAINTED WORD"

The Life of Christ Painting, by Jackson Bailey, is one of the most impressive and moving memorials to Christ ever created.  This magnificent painting, painstakingly created on special woven heavy Belgian linen with Rembrandt oils, measures one thousand feet in length, (the combined lengths of three and one-half football fields), is over ten feet high, and is believed to be the largest religious painting in the world.
The painting required in excess of ten years of artists' time to complete.  Extensive research was undertaken to make the painting as realistic as possible, including trips to the Holy Land for photographs, rock and soil samples, samples of garments, and terrain layout.  The painting depicts fifty-five scenes in the Life of Christ from the Annunciation to the Ascension.  This is believed to be the only painting created by one artist depicting the entire life of Christ.
This book reproduces the 55 scenes of the painting in full color.  It is of high quality, a book which you will take pride in owning and in sharing with your relatives and friends.
The publisher is the owner of the original painting, and plans to raise funds through the sale of the book to house the painting permanently and to display the painting to the public.
