Welcome

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Jackson Bailey Art and to tell you a little about whom we are, our goals, and our commitment for the future. It has been my privilege to grow up knowing my father, to realize his courage and dedication in handling life's obstacles, and striving only to create so that others may enjoy. I was a grown man before I understood the magnitude of what my father had accomplished. I began to look closely at art and learned the impact an artist's creations could have. As I looked at the great masters' artwork and their attention to detail, I began to see my father's artwork and his attention to detail. When Dad painted the Life of Christ painting, I was in my early teens.
He had spent years going to Israel, reading books, and learning as much as he could about everything that took place during the time of Christ. He studied their clothing, what kinds of materials were used, the stitching, the colors, and even their sandals. He studied the trees, the plants, and the rocks, right down to the color of the soil.
He sketched the entire painting on poster board in charcoal and had it spread around the house. You have to know that there are 55 scenes in the Life of Christ painting, so that means 55 pieces of poster board set up in every place imaginable. Right from the beginning, this painting was going to be colossal.  Dad had completed the preliminary drawings and decided that the best way to retain continuity throughout the painting was to assign a live model to each recurring person as well as those faces in the crowd. Each scene in the Life of Christ was staged with the models in full authentic dress to insure, in every detail, its naturalism. To this day, I am proud and honored to have been chosen to portray Christ throughout this wonderful painting.
Since my father completed the masterwork in 1970 it has had several homes, but none that were permanent for the public. It has remained in storage for the last thirty years. The Jackson Bailey Art Museum now owns the painting. However, the Life of Christ is not the only magnificent painting Jackson Bailey has produced.
This brings me to our company. We are a family run business dedicated to presenting and promoting over 50 years of collective artwork by Jackson Bailey. Most of his works have never before been made available to the public, nor have they been released for commercial purposes. Select reproductions have been chosen for charitable fund-raisers, and to raise signatures to help keep "In God We Trust" on our currency. Most of the artwork created by Jackson Bailey is still owned and retained by the family.
Our goal is to offer hope and inspiration through the artistry of Jackson Bailey. His giant undertakings show us we can all accomplish great things if we just try.
Our commitment is to quality. We provide quality in our art, quality in our promotions, quality in our products.
Please browse through our site, learn about Jackson Bailey, and enjoy his artwork. In the future, we will be expanding with our on-line museum and other special presentations.
